A heavy-duty standalone waterer for chickens, turkeys, and other poultry. Double-wall construction features an inner tube with astrong arched handle for carrying the filled fount and an outer tube with its own handle for convenience. When the outer tube isinserted over the inner tube, a copper spring and neoprene seal create a vacuum to maintain a constant water level in the drinkingpan. Features a locking pin to hold the outer tube in place. Sloped top prevents roosting. Constructed of heavy-gauge galvanizedsteel with rolled edges for safety. Seams are constructed and tested to prevent leaks. A key advantage of metal founts is theability to use the fount in winter with a heater base such as the Little Giant Electric Water Heater Base (Sold Separately). Thisis not a hanging water - must be placed on the ground or floor. 15.25in diameter x 22in high. Holds 8 gallons. Each.

We live in northern MN and winters are very cold. The large volume is wonderful for less bucket trips, and Fits perfectly on our heater. The price is definitely worth it. We did receive a defective product, but sent a message to the seller and they responded almost immediately and corrected the problem. Would buy products from them again!!

Tried other waters with cups testing them out so we could take a vacation and know our birds would have water, those were a disaster the birds Would bump the cups and drain the buckets. If you want to be sure your birds will always have water use this one!! Also stays dark so No algae grows inside. Best waterer out there

One of the reasons to have purchased this item was the volume. It holds 8 gallons when filled and it lasts 8 hens for over a week so we can take trips and have a neighbor refill weekly. Highly recommend over any other sized water that I have seen on the net in a local feed store.
