I'd say you can you it for 1-5 gallons but really only if its paint or same consistency, i got it for thinset and much too small for 50lb bags batches and no way it'd be able to do mortar mud beds like mapei 4 to 1; but if you gonna use it for paint or like liquid this is for you.

This thing is amazing! I mix up coco coir for gardening and was using a paint stir drill attachment that worked well I thought until I saw this and bought it to just see if better. It was thousands of percent better. It cut thru the coir like it was nothing. Cut my mix time down in half.

Got this to help us mix dryloc paint for our basement walls and floors. that paint is so thick it will wear your arm out in 30 seconds, plus you have to stir so hard to mix it that you almost always end up sloshing paint out. With this tool, no more slinging paint out onto the floor and i can still move my arms to paint!

I used this to mix five gallon cans of roof coating as the aluminum particles are always on the bottom. I chose to get something smaller rather than the larger ones I have seen. This worked perfectly for my application. I did use a corded drill as this is a heavy mix. I like the fact that the blades are welded, easy to clean and the mixer spins true.
