Rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, Balm of Gilead Lip Balm nourishes and soothes your lips with a handcrafted blend of organic beeswax, grass-fed, grass-finished tallow, and avocado oil. Our blend of grass-fed tallow and avocado oil is abundant in vitamins A, C, D, E, and K - Balm of Gilead is a skin superfood. Vitamin E is believed to protect the skin from the damage caused by ultraviolet rays from the sun, while avocado oil can inherently contain an SPF factor ranging from 4-10 for added sun protection.

Balm of Gilead is an all-natural skin care company that began in 2013, making small batches by hand. Our purpose was merely to make use of a great ingredient that has largely been overlooked the last few decades, though it was once a cornerstone in the skin care realm: tallow. Rich in vitamins and uniquely compatible with the structure of our skin, tallow is irreplaceable and the results speak for its self. It is simply the "old path" of skin care, carefully refined by our highest standards.
To this day, we still craft our balm products by hand, made with natural, unadulterated ingredients. Our tallow is sourced from grass-fed, grass-finished cows, free of antibiotics, hormones, and steroids - just pure and simple. Using tallow as our base ingredient, combined with organic beeswax and other natural oils, Balm of Gilead is ideal for everyone. Balm of Gilead is Certified Paleo and AIP Friendly.

I'm all about natural fats and this tallow based balm is great. The fragrance is blessedly subtle and very pleasing. Use daily and very happy with it.
