The Hedpak® 6 Gallon Bottle is semi-rigid high density polyethylene. It is designed to fit inside a heavy-duty 350 lb double wall corrugated outer shipping carton (SKU 045-4279) sold separately. It has a molded top handle and bottom finger grips for easy lifting and pouring and a large 70mm screw cap for fast filling and draining.
- In-line spout allows complete draining with 3/4 inch faucet (SKUs 401C, 435, 420) sold separately
- Special venting cap in the handle allows smooth product flow while dispensing, prevents "chugging"
- Plastic container meets FDA requirements

I use mine to store water in, the translucent container walls allows UV light into the container to suppress fungus growth. I hae several bottles and after using the 5 gal of water out of the container I leave it out in the sunlight just to be sure no fungus/mold can get strated.

I use it for waste oil, to accumulate for taking it in for recycling. The opening is a great size for pouring in to without having to dirty up a funnel. The vent makes emptying the jug a lot faster, and with less mess. Clear printed graduations on the side of the container, as well as it being translucent make it easy to keep track of how much space I have left in there.

These do exactly what I wanted, which is be cheap and hold emergency water in our basement. They are fairly thin on the side walls and don't seal quite as nicely as more expensive carboys, but the price is definitely right, and they function perfectly for my use case.
