The magnet assembly is designed and optimized with up-to-date software for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and complemented, where needed, by a copper cap to improve frequency extension and linearity. Equal care is taken in the design of phase plugs, whose role in enhancing performance and reducing distortion artifacts is critical for compression drivers.
