When Catherine\'s motherdied in 1373, she returned to Sweden andbecame abbess of her mother\'s convent,the motherhouse of the Bridgettine Order.She died in 1381 and was canonized in 1484.Saint Catherine of Sweden is recognized todayas the patroness of those who have suffereda miscarriage.
