Sort of heavy, not as sturdy as it needs to be for the size and weight. The mouse pad slides out to the right or left from between the top and bottom of the device. This means the entire surface is not flat. The mouse pad gently clicks into place so it can easily slide back in when you do not want it to. The dimensions are such that you must place your notebook computer on it very carefully. There is no extra room to put anything else on it except your computer. The Lap Desk 2.0 from LapWorks worked much better for me and my needs, when folded was smaller, weighed less and was much sturdier, and has a desk angle adjustment feature which the Aidata LapPad does not.

The best feature is the pull out mouse pad pulls out both ways, so this would work well for lefties

This laptop portable desk is an excellent replacement for the logitech N315, which has been discontinued. Great quality and very sturdy. No issues with laptop overheating due to the ventilation designs at the base. The design makes it easy for ambidextrous users.

I like this, very convenient, light weight (but durable)and I like the slide desk feature that allows me to use my mouse comfortably while sitting down and watching TV. I definite buy.
