I use this aa a tip jar for our band events...It is attractive and allows one to change any message in the see through acrylic top that attaches above the tip box.The negative is that when transporting to and from or if it happens to be dropped off the table etc..the plastic will crack on either the tip box or the above message stand far too easily.

This Ballot Box is almost great. What I like: It came well packed, no damage. The box itself is reasonably sturdy and the sign holder is separate from the base box which if you care about securing the contents is a plus. Of course the lock can be defeated but it is enough of a deterrent to keep most honest people honest. I don't like the way the sign is integrated into the base. Compared to similar products in considerably less sturdy and will likely break before the 5 week fundraiser finishes. The sign placard fits into about 1/4 groove and it is not snug, so it wobbles. It would not take much of a bump for it to get knocked out. Or too much pressure to snap the the plastic trim that fits in the groove. We will see.
