Like others, I have the iSpring system. The filters from iSpring should last a year. They never really did a great job at removing iron. They were better than nothing, but I was still getting iron stains in my toilets. I had to use iron out every 2 weeks to remove the stains. I decided to give Pentair a try since their pool products are good. Well I put this filter (along with carbon and sediment) in my iSpring housings on Dec. 30th. It's now January 23 and no visible iron stains in the toilet. Definitely worth the slightly higher price and they fit the iSpring blue 20 housings with no issue.

I have 0.2 mg/L of iron, which is low. It's better as far as stains and odor are concerned but still not what expected.I run a pre filter and a carbon block polishing filter also.I don't want to go to a softener with iron-out so this will have to do.
