1. I was informed that you have received my application, but did not hear from you two days later. What happened?
If you are not contacted in two business days, it is probably because the information you provided on the registration form is not sufficient or you don't meet our requirements.

2. What's the Trade References required?
A trade reference is a supplier who provides you products to sell to your customers. It simply refers to other suppliers you've worked with, who can vouch that you were a good steady customer who always paid on time.

3. How long does it take to set up a reseller account?
If you're required to send us detail information to complete the reseller application within two business days, we'll approve your account once we verify your info offered.

4. How much does it cost me?
No activation fee. No recurring fee to maintain reseller status.

5. I am already a registered customer on Opentip.com, do I still need to finish the "Reseller Signup" page?
Yes, you will not be able to register as a reseller with the same email address. You could sign up with another email or contact us to cancel your previous account and sign up again as a reseller. Please note that you could edit your account info after your account is approved.

6. How do I know what my wholesale price is online?
After you successfully become our reseller, you can see the wholesale prices once you login to Opentip.com with your reseller account.

7. I cannot find the wholesale price after I log in with my reseller account. Why?
Click "My Account" to check if you are really logged in. If this happens more than once, please log in here

8. I find the reseller price is only 8% off or even lower. Is it right?
Among our hundreds of thousands products, our resellers can enjoy a reseller price up to 60% off. But not every products can be that high. If you feel there might be something wrong with the price, please contact us to have a check.

9. Do you drop ship?
Yes, we do drop ship for most of our products to US and Canada.

10. Is there a drop shipping fee?
NO! There is no drop shipping fee, but handling fee for some products.

11. Do you offer blind drop shipping? If so do you charge a fee for private labeling?
We do blind drop shipping, but we don't offer private labeling currently.

12. Is there a minimum order amount for drop shipping?
There's no minimum volume requirement for most items.

13. Can I sell all the products on Opentip.com?

14. Do you provide product data feed?
We offer our approved resellers product data including title, description, image url etc. in xls. or txt. format. As to new resellers, we could provide data of products no more than 1000. If you need product data from us, please send us the product model list or let us know the detailed category you're interested in AFTER your reseller account is approved.

15. Will you inform me of any changes about the reseller products?
Currently no. But we're planning to provide update information download soon. Please check on Opentip.com to find the newest price and other information.

16. What courier/couriers do you use?
Usually we use UPS/ FedEX Ground to ship all orders within 48 states. But if you only have a PO box address, then we could ship your order by USPS. If any expedite shipping method you would like to use, we'll let you know the extra shipping charges.

17. What is the average cost of shipping?
It all depends. Shipping is calculated from the UPS shipping tables using a combination of weight, shipping box dimension, and delivery destination. You can see your estimate shipping costs by clicking "Add to Cart" and then entering your country and state.

18. Is there insurance available for expensive items?
Yes, there's UPS transportation insurance.

19. How will I transmit orders to you?
To transmit orders to us, you may have to place orders on our site: login with your reseller account, click the "add to cart" and check out. You can pay by credit card or PayPal just as retail shopping, but the prices you enjoy are reseller prices as long as you login with your reseller account.

20. Will Opentip.com contact my customers?
No, we do not contact your customers. We encourage your customers to do business with you, therefore you will be our billing contact to pay. Your customers will not be contacted for any billing matters.

21. Do you have some sort of order tracking system in place?
Yes, you may view your order status after you login with your account, and click "View the orders I have made".

22. Do you have a written return policy? Do you charge a restocking fee?

23. How will complaints be handled? You? Me? Joint?
That depends on specific circumstances: what do the customers complain for and who should be responsible for it.

24. Why was I being charged sales tax when I am an approved reseller?
You can contact us to get your tax return if you could offer the Sales Tax ID of the state where your order was shipped to. For example, you can get tax exemption for orders shipped to MA if you have a MA Sales Tax.

25. Do I have any control over pricing?
We have MAP for some products, but you can freely set your own prices for most products.
