Hasbro Scrabble Deluxe Diamond Anniversary Edition

the game is somewhat bulky for a portable scrabble set. the odd bulbous design makes it bigger than a standard board. the design could have easily been streamlined to a smaller size. worst of all is the color of the squares. for example, dark blue was always the square for a triple letter. now it's for a double letter. for long time players this is a bit disconcerting as one tends to subconsciously tally up a potential score at a glance. played today and my opponent and i found the colors off-putting. for new players this would not present a problem. just wondering but do the different color schemes have to do with a copyright when hasbro started making the game instead of milton bradley or selchow & righter?
