Why in the world they don't sell these at lowes I don't understand. For years we tried everything to hold baby gates on our stairs. Ruining the walls, the stair rails and I got so desperate that we screwed down a 4 by 4 to hold one one which looked awful. I happened upon this in a picture of another reviewer who was reviewing a baby gate. I love this thing.
