The construction of this umbrella/parasol seems strong and there are no fraying stitches or hems. The color is quite lovely; cheerful and not garish. It folds down to 8 inches long, so it's quite easy to stick in my purse. It's not mentioned in the product description, but the UV ratings on the tag are "UPF _30" and "T(UVA) _5%". My google searches didn't turn up an explanation for the second rating but the first one is the minimum recommended for sun-protective fabrics by the Skin Cancer Foundation. So far, I'm delighted with my purchase!
