I grew up playing rook with my family, it's a great game. In recent years we've started playing a game called 34;Up and Down the River34; with the rook cards. A nice alternative game that makes use of the rook card.

directions are not very clear. We keep taking this out on a Saturday night, read some of the directions, and it goes back in the drawer. Maybe I will read up on the directions a few days before we want to play again, instead of 5 minutes before!
