My husband was so pleased with the pants. From previous reviews I was afraid they would shrink. I washed them separately and partially dried them in the dryer and let them dry the rest of the way by themselve. They look great.

We received many compliments on these Painter's Pants. They appeared to be similar to other Double-Knee products that I have purchased. They fit beautifully. Then we washed them...they really shrunk as well as wrinkled extensively. I would suggest that you iron these before wearing them...really, each time? There is no excuse for the amount that they shrunk after the washing...Dickie has always been a fine product...I guess not for the type of pant. I almost feel as though I wish that I had my previous old pair of pants back which I wore for 15 years. Things just are not what they used to be. Most other Dickie Double-Knee pants are fine...maybe they just are not good at either white or painters pants.

First off, this is a real review from a professional painter who actually wears these for work every day. The fit is as good as I've found because I'm a big guy and it's hard to find work pants that fit well. They are comfortable and will soften up after a few washes (use warm wash and warm dry. Never use hot as they may shrink a little) they are a little warm in the summer so usually i get the lighter material pants for the really hot months here in texas.Plenty of pockets and good stitching. Well made. Only area for improvement would be the double knee pocket for the knee padding you can purchase separately. The pads slide down too far so before kneeling down I have to pull my pant legs up a bit so my knees will be on the pads. Other than that I love these and highly recommend.

Great pants, but built for the male body, as usual. There are female painters out there, y’know. If you’re a gal with gal hips, definitely SIZE UP. I’m a 29” waist, 39” hip gal. Ordered the 30” x 32” and there wasn’t any such thing as a “relaxed fit”! Excruciatingly tight in the waist, crotch and butt. Going to exchange for a larger size. We’ll see how it goes. Also, I always size up for cotton painters pants- they almost ALWAYS shrink, especially in length. Dickies makes good work clothing. I haven’t tried their painter’s pants tho. IF I find a pair that actually fits, I’ll let you know how they washed. Good luck!
