Does the trick in both a 2x10 as a replacement and in a stand alone 1x10 that I use for upright. Very light, great sounding!.

I bought two of these speakers to replace the OEM speakers in my SWR Super Redhead bass amplifier. I gig weekends, sometimes twice a day (Saturday afternoon and night). Eight years after buying my amp, one of the original speakers blew out and I needed a fast replacement. Reconing would have taken too long, and was about $20 less than getting a replacement speaker. I decided to replace both speakers, and following a couple evenings of research, picked these lightweight drivers. They were an exact fit in the cabinet, fast connecting, matching the four ohms of the originals. The tone is clean, punchy, and with good, but not booming, bass. For the style of music I play and the size of the rooms, these speakers have delivered for me. Having my amp weigh nearly 10 pounds less is a bonus, too. It took only three days from placing the order to delivery. I was very happy with that. I gave the rating 4 stars instead of 5 because I don't know how long they will last, but right now I couldn't be more pleased.
