These are much better than the thin rubber base alternatives for helping young (Tball) players learn...especially when you don't have an actual ball field to practice on. Sturdy enough for kids with cleats.

Very heavy plate, no worries on it moving even without the ground spikes. But we are only using it for batting practice. I would recommend this plate for anyone looking for a quality plate.

Very heavy and durable home plates. Would definitely recommend these to any Coach for practice. It comes with 5 metal screw on spikes. But I don't use them. The plate is heavy enough where I can just toss it on the ground and it's not going anywhere !
