I adore my CN! Easy to clean, maintain, the rats and I both love it. I go on a forum for pocket pets, ferrets and rats and all of them promote this (And the FN) like crazy!

First off, this is an awesome cage and I HIGHLY recommend it. It is very suitable for my six pet rats. There is plenty of room for them to live without being crowded in any way. Most rat 'cage size calculators' say this is big enough for twelve rats. I don't think I would put that many in here, but I'd be comfortable putting two more in there.As I said the cage is very spacious. The cage is designed in such a way you can actually turn it into two isolated cages. The 'ramp' to the second story has a very sturdy hook to isolate the two levels. Something to keep in mind if you are looking for more than one cage. As others have said this thing is huge. The doors open fully to make cleaning very easy. I would also recommend buying some large plastic bins from Home Depot to put on each level to make cleaning easier and mostly to keep the bedding from getting all over the floor. Rats tend to be a little messy with their bedding and push it out of the cage. The bins are sold as concrete mixing containers and fit very nicely.The cage itself is very sturdy. It was relatively easy to put together. However, although it says it doesn't need tools, I would recommend using some type of soft mallet. Some of the pieces needed coaxing to fit. Although I think this only adds to the sturdiness of the cage itself.Buy one now, you won't be sorry.

This is probably the best cage of this type that you can get for the money. It's basically the same thing as the ferret nation cage, but cheaper since it's made in China. I also like how the bars are more horizontally oriented instead of the ferret nation cage, who's bars are more vertical. Check out pics of the two, and you'll know what I mean. I have chinchillas, so they love to climb and jump off the bars. The horizontal bars lend better for those kinds of activities.There are three gripes that I have about this product, but you may not care. First of all, it comes with plastic parts that may be bad for your animal if it ingests some. Secondly, the extra shelving isn't level, so it needs to be forcefully bent into a more flatter shape. Lastly, the cage can be difficult to assemble.Either way, I like the product. My chinchillas like the product. It looks great. It's super sturdy. Get this instead of the ferret nation if you have chinchillas!

This is a wonderful cage and the assembly is easy but not as obvious as the manufacturer seems to think. There were NO assembly instructions included and I had to find their website to download directions.

This cage is wonderful! I have 3 Kidamals (Ferrets)and they all have room to stretch out and play. I wouldn't put more than 3 in it though, I want my babies to have room to move around... I give the cage 5 stars but only 2 to the Quality Control People that let So many of these cages go through incomplete. I am glad that i have a husband that could correct the mistakes of this cages manufacturers. My cage not only had pegs that were bent and not lined up correctly but i also had a hole that wasnt drilled/punched out. It is a good thing that my husband can Drill a straight hole. But after all is said and done I still love the cage and honestly unless i get more fuzzbutts don't ever see myself needing another cage ever. I will be buying the add on later as I want my babies to have LOTS of room since they spend 18-20 hours a day in there. Well until I can convince my husband to build an additional room in out house just for my babies. :)

I love this cage! It's very large, the bar spacing is perfect for rats, and it's incredibly easy to clean. A little soap and water and everything just wipes off! I don't have to buy bedding either, I just put newspaper down on the shelves. Yes this cage is expensive but it is worth every penny! It's wonderful!
