So, for years I've been told 'you want a good burger, you need to use a press'. So I heard that for 20 years in the Navy asking the Mess Cooks their best secret on making a good burger from scratch, and it is true with a press you can make a burger on par with every burger shack out there. If you are making an Oklahoma Onion Burger you NEED that tool to do the job, also works a charm for grilled cheese, and pressed chicken. The best trick I learned from the Mess Cooks is to wrap the sole of the press in foil, just apply a dab of oil to the surface to lessen sticking.
