When you need to replace blades the screws that holds blades are not your friend . I've seen how you end damaging the tread I'm not sure why tread gets easy damage even you snuggle gently

It worked the first time then one side would cut but not the other. I was in a race, so I didn't have time to diagnose the problem at the moment so I flipped the tool and pulled again to cut the other side. Before the next job, I looked and saw the tip had broke off the blade on one side. I quickly reversed the blade and reassembled the tool. Still only one side would cut. Weeks later, I was going to chuck it in the trash, but I decided to look at it again. The blade had been double punched at the factory. The tip broke off the one side where the machine scored it and when I flipped the blade over, it wouldn't work again because the hole was off-center. The blade was too short. Bottom line, the tool works great as long as you don't have the dumb luck to get a defective blade.

Works like a charm. I made one attempt to open flat drop without this tool. What a pain. This makes prep so easy. Depending on how many drops you do the blade last quite a long time too.
