We are using this on a Guinea Pig Habitat by Midwest. The bottle has to be slanted back a little off the cage for it not to leak. This is the only water bottle that we haven't had problems with. It also depends on how its mounted and the cage for it not to leak.

I bought this bottle to replace one of the types that you opened the top to fill. Needless to say this bottle is 10 times better than the other, no more changing bedding every 2 or 3 days because my guinea pigs are floating away with the excess water spillage. The bracket leaves a little to be desired it isn't extremely sturdy and the bracket itself will not hold the bottle up, the metal tube needs to rest on something in order for the bottle not to slide out of the bracket. I found this out when I wanted to mount the bottle inside of the cage and not the outside. I got around this by super gluing a couple of thick plastic washer to the back side of the bottle, now it can't slide and the bracket holds it up.The bottle holds a good amount of water I am not sure it is really 32 ounces though. Between my two guinea pigs I would estimate that it would last more than a week before I "needed" to refill it. All in all it is a good bottle, the bottle itself is made of durable plastic and it really doesn't have issues with leaking or dripping.

It's a good bottle overall, nice big spout which is good for ferrets, and I really like the sold clip and lock that is used to attach the bottle to the cage. It is solid, can't be knocked down, and the bottle un-clips easily from the bracket to make refilling easy. I didn't give the bottle 5 stars because there is drippage. Not a lot mind you, but whenever you fill it, even if you squeeze it etc it drips for a few minutes. After that it is great though, you won't have to keep cleaning up spills. There are a few better bottles out there, but I settled for this one because it was available at a local pet supply store. Overall though, it is a good bottle and I don't regret buying it.

I bought this bottle because the bottle that came with my crittertrail deluxe habitat flooded the entire cage within one day. The ball in this bottle is pushed into place by what I believe to be a spring, rather than using the "vacuum" method most bottles use. It did seem like my hamster may have problems with working the ball as she's a roborovski dwarf hamster, the smallest breed of hamster. Because of this, I did have to play with the ball by pushing it in to loosen the spring. She has absolutely no problems getting water out since I've done that, and seems very content with her new water source. It may leak a little bit, especially if the spring is loosened, but leaking is very minimal and not noticable. The ball will make noise when the animal drinks, but I actually like hearing it. It lets me know my hamster is getting the water she needs, and I never have to worry. The duck floats at the top. It lets me know from a distance when to refill. I also use it to monitor that my hamster is drinking alright, and getting the water she needs.

I got my first one 3 or 4 years ago for my ferrets and it is still working great! I just bought another as I am getting rats. As mentioned it leaks some, but I have never had one that didn't.The duck is great for telling where the water level is from a distance. It is made of hard plastic which discourages chewing and it is easy to take in and out of the clip.
