This is a great little tool with a few considerations other buyers need to make.Mine have aligned jaws, everything functions really smoothly, and for SMALL tasks, I love them. Even the wire cutters work great, and that surprised me. However, with some of the other reviews, I think it's important to note who this is for. They're 4 inches long. Actually about 5 from end to end, but I don't know what points the brand is counting toward its length. So, they are a bit small for large hands, and the smooth (high-quality) finish will slip in your hand a bit. Certainly not something you want to work with all day in a shop environment. However, they still work great. There's a hex hole on the bolt to let you really clamp down on things, but at this size, I don't think that is something most people will use often. The tasks these excel at don't require THAT level of grip. Still, I like having the option if necessary.Because of their size, the jaws also aren't going to accommodate nearly as much as their larger counterparts. You certainly won't be clamping onto plumbing pipes. They open impressively wide, but you won't have much leverage due to how short they are, and the handle maxes out its width when you do open them all the way up. So, it becomes even harder to hold them in that position. With that being said, I think they're perfect for an EDC plier. They're small, high-quality, and extremely versatile. They're just not going to do what a lot of tradesmen want Vice Grips to do outside of very niche applications. At least, they won't do it comfortably. This is a great needle nose plier for the at-home guy who wants to carry it for EDC or handle 99 of pliers and clamping tasks around the house.I did remove a star for one minor problem. The handle attached to the lower jaw is not pinned perfectly tight. So, that shorter handle wobbles slightly until the tool is clamped. It's not bad or extremely noticeable, and it doesn't affect its functionality, but it's a small detail that could have been fixed just by pressing the pin a little harder during manufacturing, and it would have felt absolutely rock solid.
