I got what I expected switching from 2000 to 3000, it inproved my waterfall flow. The skimmer fills up faster which keeps my pond cleaner. Will need to wait to see how the change handles winter. The price paid was good.

I had to replace the same model after many years of continuous use including Ohio winters. There is no maintenance and it's easy to install (literally a PVC connection only). I can't expect anything more.

If this unit lasts as long as the first one then we are in good shape. The original AquaSurge 3000 pump lasted from 2007 to 2013 without any problems running 24-7 with a 15 foot run gradually to a 4.5 foot waterfall. The pump is submerged 3 feet deep which made the pump good for the 7.5 foot rise. Not too bad.
