This book is awesome. My 5 year old has been having trouble with reading but he loves to do this activity book. We usually do a weeks worth in a day because he goes so fast. I will definitely be purchasing the other levels for him and my other 2 kids.

This has been a good book for my pre-k child to practice reading. I noticed that it is more sight recognition for her though, rather then reading. She enjoys it.

My daughter loved the book. I enjoy the entire 180 Days series of books from 34;180 days of reading to. . . . . 180 days of science,34; they are all well done and comprehensive. 180 days of reading for Kindergarten is probably one of the best. However, unless your child is an advanced kindergartner and/or had an excellent pre-school experience, this workbook should not be started until late December of their kindergarten year. That being said, this workbook truly represents the high standards and curriculum that has now become kindergarten. Kindergarten has now become 1st grade! The book is designed to re-enforce (or teach) five main activities: (1) learning to read foundational words, (level one words) (2) simple spelling (3) reading and (4) reading comprehension and (5) simple sentence writing. I found it worked best when my daughter completed a week's worth of work in one day, since each day's lesson was part of an overall theme and built on the prior day's lesson. My daughter started the workbook in late November and completed it in April. I plan to start 34;180 Days of Reading for 1st grade34; during the Summer. The best part of the book is day 5, where you are required to read the story and then complete the story with your own story line. My daughter loves this part and wants to do it right away!
