I was looking for a new tank for my Doepfer A-199 spring reverb module. IMO, it's always had too high of a base frequency (makes it sound like the reverb is in a tiny room), and the output level of the reverb always seemed too low.I saw this tank, which has springs that are almost twice as long, and the same RCA connections, and decided to give it a go. The base frequency is much lower (like it's reverb in a big room or hall), and the output is much hotter, which makes it easier to mix back in. Also, the reverb is much more full, which gives more room to scoop out high/low frequencies with a VCF, etc.I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new flavor of reverb for their Eurorack spring reverb module, especially the Doepfer A-199.

Extremely deep and rich reverb - do not worry about its length - I used on an amp with a strange impedance requirement (not Fender) and it works great. No wild goose chase for me!

I installed this in a customers' Tech 21 Trademark 60. Those are great amps but they use a very long three spring Accutronics tank that doesn't seem to exist as a replacement part anymore. I decided to try this shorter tank and it worked a treat. Absolutely perfect for this application and my customer (who happens to be my attorney!) is very happy with both the quality and the price. Cheers.

Integrated into modular synth setup. Just added headphone Amp into tank then output right to mixer.

I can't say that I am an expert in reverb tanks by any means, so take this as a semi-novice opinion. I picked up an old Peavey Nashville 400 and the original reverb tank was shot. This one has the same electrical specs as the original, just in the shorter length. For half the price of some of the better known brands I thought I'd give it a shot. I've been pretty happy with the results. I now have some decent reverb and it didn't break the bank. Would results from some of the more expensive options be better? Possibly, but I thought this one was pretty well made and I don't really have anything negative to say about the sound. If you are on the fence, I would recommend giving it a shot.
