A bit small for my big (7 5/8) melon, but I'd read the other reviews and expected that. I made a one inch cut in the back, under the tail where it doesn't show, and that made it perfect. I put a stitch at the top of the cut so it wouldn't run. A staple would probably work fine for that. Took me longer to thread a needle than everything else combined. Eleven bucks and 3 minutes of time later, I have a great Parrot Head hat to wear to Jimmy Buffet at Wrigley Field tonight! I'd say it's better quality than I expected for the price. For eleven dollars, I figured I'd be throwing it out after the concert, but it's pretty decent. Bright colors and good shape.
