My son needed this for his band uniform. After two uses it snapped even though my son was careful with it.

I did a quick search and sort for self tie bowtie with super saver shipping, what showed up looked nothing like the picture (slimline vs batwing) and it was not self tie. If you are looking for a cheap bowtie that may last for a few nights, this is it, otherwise keep looking. Of note the tie is a good value, just not what I was looking for. For the price not worth returning, I may put it on a friends dog as a joke.

The color was supposed to be burgundy and this tie is actually red. I don't care what light you look at this in, it is RED - not burgundy. A loss.

I purchased this tie thinking it would be satin -- but on a tag on the back 100% Polyester. And it is clearly not satin. Additionally, I spent a reasonable amount of time trimming lose threads from the tie that were sticking all over the place. I am hoping that the black tie event I'm going to will be in a pretty dark room.The tie is a bit smallish, but I'm not concerned -- I think small looks better than overly big!

It had little threads hanging off of it which made it look bad. Also mine had some kind of stain on the top which deteriorated the quality evn more.
