One of the White Mountains region's best-selling hiking guidebooks is back in print with the recent publishing of the newly updated third edition of the White Mountains Map Book. A two-sided waterproof trail map considered by many to be the best hiking map of the region accompanies the 64-page guide, published by Map Adventures of Portland, Maine.
Co-authored by Steve Bushey and Angela Faeth, the Map Book includes detailed descriptions of 76 hikes scattered throughout the Whites. Other features include historical anecdotes, a directory of area campgrounds, campsites and huts, advice on trip planning and winter backcountry travel, and other pertinent info related to the White Mountains region.
