Some of the major differences between the MOD®s and other reverb tanks are that the Transducers are wired directly to their respective RCA jacks as opposed to current production tanks where Transducers are connected by a detachable plug to their respective RCA jacks. This makes the tanks less receptive to any outside interference. The original Hammond Accutronics tanks from the 1960s were also wired directly to their respective RCA jacks. In addition, very close attention has been paid to the spacing and size of the lamination of the Transducers resulting in a more vintage like tone.Questions about reverb tanks? My old crate custom 2x12 amp had beautiful reverb that dropped and slapped back. This replacement does not have that. It’s muffled and and muted. It lacks drip and slapback. Hit the strings on your guitar for instance and you will hardly get any return. Kick your amp and you will hear the springs of course though. I’m going to try a different model number from accutronics. If those continue to not work then I’ll just buy a 600 dollar fender outboard unit maybe. Or a Topanga Reverb pedal.

Direct fit and replacement for my Fender Performer 1000 combo. This amp had lived a hard life before I got it, and this was a great way to get the stock reverb, with true analog spring tank sound, back and working like it left the factory!

So easy to install, and a big improvement for the sound of my Blues Junior. I was pretty amazed how much more solid this unit feels in comparison to the original included in the amp. For the price, it's definitely the cheapest way to improve your sound instantly!

The MOD tank is a nice, easy to do modification. I replaced the stock reverb unit in a Blues Junior. The MOD unit sounds subtly more lush and musical.

Great "drop-in" replacement for my 1999 Fender Princeton 65 solid state amp. I thought the tank's red/white rca inputs were reversed but testing them on the amp's internal board was "OK". I tried to repair the original ##$$@@!! tank - the micro wires to the transducers were shorted - hard to solder durably so this is a great affordable fix. I've only been into electric guitars about a year, mostly for fun in refurbishing used amps I come across at thrift shops. There is definitely a reverb effect. But - I am not an authority on sounds yet. FYI - I swapped my Peavey 80 watt amp reverb tank momentarily to test, (working but different specs) and then installed this MOD brand replacement tank (it is fastened with several screws) to back of amp cabinet - ie., no tank cover. If you do this for under $18.00, make sure you order the correct tank due to varying electrical specs. clearly marked on MODs website.PS - Ill probably repair my original tank (I love challenges...) - but I need those funky micro-surgery style glasses- and then the fragility still prevails. Get the MOD brand! (Initially try testing wires and continuity with a multi meter, also solder joints first...)Enjoy!

Sounds very good, makes nice reverb, but the spirals have a bit of a tendency to vibrate in resonance at certain notes.

Put this in my new Stage Right 15 watt amp. The original was actually ok, but this was an improvement.
Easy install, about 5 minutes if the magnet isn't screw hungry.
Worth the money for sure, smooth verb.
