The tweeter\'s large membrane and radiating area provide higher power handling and a substantially lower cut off frequency. This membrane is thermally attached to a cast aluminum plate that facilitates cooling and dramatically increases dynamic range. The flared waveguide\'s wide horizontal dispersion projects an excellent off axis response. At the same time, vertical dispersion is limited, which reduces distracting floor and ceiling reflections. Vertical off axis response is terrible but they sound so good on axis that it still gets 5 stars. Just know that it is a major drop off in treble off axis but none at all horizontally when considering these for your next project. Thanks!

I use these on a pair of all dayton audio part DIY speakers I used these with an RS270 Reference 1034; woofer. I have them crossed over at 2000hz which is pretty low for these but they still perform very well. The speakers i made with these impressed my entire audio engineering club. I even compared these DIY speakers to a pair of ELAC UNIFI ub5s and they said it was clearly better. They said compared to some of theirs it compared closely to a 1600$ monitoring system. These drivers give very accurate sound without causing ear fatigue. I used a L-Pad between the crossover and tweeter because the higher sensitivity on the tweeter then on the woofer.
