JEN Jensen Swing S150 Toddler Half Bucket Rubber w/Insert USA P1045476JEN-S150K https://cdnimages.opentip.com/full/JEN/JEN-S150.jpg Jensen Swing S150 Toddler Half Bucket Rubber w/Insert USA An exceptional half bucket toddler seat with tab and ring for adding an A110 Safety Chain which is sold separately. The dimensions of the seat are 12\" diameter, 8.5\" in depth and the back holes are 5 3/16\" in length. It is made of 5/16\" thick EPDM rubber with a one piece insert to resist vandalism and welded triangular hardware. Our seats are made of EPDM rubber that is made especially for our swing seats. The rubber does not rub off on children\'s clothes and the seats last much longer than natural rubber swings. Unlike seats made of polymer, seats made of EPDM rubber hold up well in extreme temperatures, both very hot and very cold. EPDM: Ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer is a synthetic rubber material which helps prevent crazing, cracking and oxidizing. Natural rubber is often made from recycled tires etc., and you are never sure what the actual rubber mixture is. It often wears off on children\'s clothes. It cracks and crazes, making the seat unsightly and allowing moisture to get into the seat. This makes the seat deteriorate at a much quicker rate. Our seats have galvanized steel triangles and steel plates that are riveted to the seat with galvanized rivets. We go to the added expense of welding each triangle together so they cannot be pulled apart and pulled off the seat. We believe our swings are one of the few that have these welded triangles. The triangle is constructed of 3/8\" dia. cold rolled steel with the ends welded together. The plate is 1/16\" thick h.r. stamped galvanized steel. The rivets which are used to rivet the plate through the EPDM rubber and steel insert are made of 1/4\" diameter steel. There are three rivets on each side of the seat. The S150 seat has a 1075 steel insert full hard painted with a non-rusting adhesive, and then coated with rubber that is from ¼\" to 3/8\" thick. This is a new innovation by our company, not offered by other companies, which helps prevent a child from being cut if the rubber is ever torn off a seat. We believe our seats are made to the highest standards available. Customers cannot see many of the extra hidden safety features. Uninformed users may think our seats and another suppliers are the same. However, they may not have added the hidden safety features that we have because of the added costs. We feel these safety features benefit the strength of our swings and the well-being of the children that use our equipment. The seat should last 2 years in harsh conditions and up to 5 years in optimal conditions. Some conditions may require replacement sooner. Tensile strength is 3000 lbs.The S150 has a 9\" distance from the top of the rubber, to the ground. The leg holes of the swing seat are 5\" wide at it\'s widest point. The bottom flap is 5\" wide at it\'s widest point. The groin flap and the upper flap are 4\" at it\'s widest point. The triangle of the seat is 4 1/4\" wide and 4\" tall from inner tip of the triangle to the plate.Colors: Tan, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, BlackThis seat is for children 2 and 3 years old only. This swing is intended for use by only one child at a time. Children should be placed in swing and removed from swing by an Adult. Do not remove children until the swing has stopped completely. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand or kneel on seat or use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged. Do not use when wet. Instruct children not to wrap chains around top beam or twist chains. Tell children to watch for children and adults standing, walking or running close to moving swings and to stop swinging to avoid hitting them and causing injury. Tell children to hold chains tightly in each hand while swinging.*C128, C129, C130, and C131 require using an H140, H145, H170S, or H160 at both the top and bottom parts of the chain.IMPORTANT: Please read for important information. In this material we have tried to provide some requirements stated in the CPSC Handbooks, ASTM F2373-11, F1487-11 and F1148-09. However, we in no way intend for this to be a complete list of requirements. Also these publications are updated frequently with changes, therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child. To help keep children safe from harm, review installation and maintenance instructions before installing equipment. Our website also has a \"Product Testing Information\" page. All products are tested for lead, phthalates and tensile strength. Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions. This swing is intended for children two and three years old. Read all instructions before attempting assembly. To determine proper use zones needed for swing set consult Figure 23, Table 7 for commercial swing sets if upgrading to a commercial swing. For residential sets see spacing dimensions on Page 4 of the Outdoor Home Playground Safety Handbook. Install swing set where a child can easily be supervised. Do not install playground equipment over concrete, asphalt, or any other hard surface. A fall onto a hard surface can result in serious injury to the equipment user. Grass and dirt are not considered protective surfacing because wear and environmental factors can reduce their shock absorbing effectiveness. Carpeting and thin mats are generally not adequate protective surfacing. Install your play equipment on level ground with adequate surfacing and anchoring. Use proper hardware, and tighten all connections. This swing must be installed a minimum of 24 inches from resilient surfacing. Install this swing where a child can easily be supervised and not in direct sun. Swings intended for the same age groups should be suspended from structures that are separate from those for other swings for different age groups, or at least suspended from a separate bay of the same structure. For instance, a full bucket swing should be in the same bay with another full bucket swing, not a full bucket and a strap seat in the same bay. To minimize the likelihood of children being struck by a moving swing, it is recommended that no more than two swings be hung in each bay of the supporting structure. The use zone for the swing should extend to the front and rear of the swing set, a minimum of twice the vertical distance from the top of the occupant\'s sitting surface to the pivot point of the swing hanger. The use zone in front of and behind swings should never overlap with any other use zone. The use zone to the sides of a single-axis swing should extend a minimum of 6 feet from the perimeter of the swing. This 6-foot zone may overlap that of an adjacent swing structure or other playground equipment structure.Install swing where child can easily be attended at all times and not in direct sun. The open section of swing seat should face forward. This swing has two rings, one on each side of open section of swing. You may attach our A110 safety chain to these rings or another type of restraint. Make sure restraint system does not pose a strangulation hazard. To attach swing to set, measure each side of swing chain, so the swing hangs evenly. Attach the bottom of each chain to the metal triangle on swing seat with either a shackle or S-hook. The bolt on shackle goes through the chain with \"C\" part of shackle going through triangular hardware on swing seat. Close according to Figure A1.19 for Fastening Devices. Make sure that fasteners are strong enough to support weight and use. We suggest using a H170 shackle or 3/8\" diameter standard S-hooks to connect chain to seat. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking. Try swinging seat without child in it first to make sure everything is working correctly before placing child in seat.Protective surfacing that meets ASTM F1292 must be installed under swing set and extends at least six feet from the sides of the set and twice the height of the top bar in the front and back of swing set. Protective surfacing is one of the most important things that you can do to reduce the likelihood of serious injuries. The new CPSC standard states the owner/operator of the swing set needs to post warning signs outside the use zone that are readily visible to the intended viewer and alert them to the potential hazard in time to take appropriate action. This message may be on either a sign or label outside the use zone. Signs should be posted that state the appropriate age group for the swing set. Not for Adults. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand on or use unsafely. Do not allow set to be used if damaged. Remove helmets, drawstrings or accessories around the neck which are all known to create head entrapment or entanglement hazards. Where applicable, Hot play surfaces are known to reach temperatures high enough to cause serious burns to children generally less than 4 years of age. Specifications for all warning signs or labels should conform to ANSI Z535.1 and ANSI Z535.1 or ANSI Z535.1 in the following areas: legibility, type of lettering, clarity of message and symbol, color specifications and work message and visibility. The labels or signs should be durable and conform to UL 969. It has been and continues to be the responsibility of the owner/operator to replace signs or labels or both should they become illegible, destroyed or removed. Maintenance: At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for sharp edges on hardware and/or cracks in rubber. Make sure the steel insert is not showing through rubber. Check for vandalism. Make sure restraint system is still installed correctly. Check for rusty or worn chain. Replace parts if necessary. Check to make sure S-hooks and/ or Shackles are closed properly. Check resilient surfacing for appropriate depth and cleanliness. If you see wear on a swing, replace all swings purchased at the same time. Remove swings from set when temperature reaches zero or over 100°. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.Colors: Black, Blue, Green, Red, Tan and Yellow Weight (lbs) 6.65 Dimensions (in) 16 X 11 X 12 in 1045476 15.3000lbs 12.00 11.00 16.00
