I used to play with the original when I was young. Loving that I can now play with my girls!

This thing is decent enough for smaller kids. But for big kids, its to light and doesn't fly very far. The only way to get it to fly farther is to get it wet. So you can conclude, that it is good for the beach but only decent for any place else.

Great toy for the kids. Trying to catch it at the different colors makes for a fun challenge so the kids play longer and different variations of the game so it never gets boring.

My dog loves it. Would rather have the ball be harder. But as long as he can run for it that is all that matters.

My entire family loves this toy. It is great to get out and have a game of catch. When it first arrived my boys (ages 5 and 10) were outside with it for 2 hours. The only downside is when it is windy because it is so light. On those days, or at the beach, we use the regular Foxtail.

There are 3 versions of this toy. This version, Foxtail Softie, minimizes tears if a child gets hit by a fast moving Foxtail. We have the Sonic version, too. My son cried when he got hit in the stomach by the harder rubber ball of the Sonic. They all move through the air well, the extra weight of the hard rubber not needed for faster fun. The only benefit to the Sonic is the sound made by the holes in the rubber/plastic ball. My daughter and I love to toss back and forth for an hour or more. She likes to try and catch it when I throw it to her high in the air. You get zero to 5 points depending on where you catch it. We usually do even keep score. Lots of fun.
