Prior to discovering these latches, most of my gates were secured with that chain thing they come with. Sure, the chain works, but it does not support the gate and takes two hands to open and close which is a big problem from horseback or even carrying a feed bucket. And then I discovered these latched!! I ordered one to try it out. And I have since replaced all the latches on my farm with either these or the two way latches. They are very easy to install, very high quality and work great!! I can open the gate quickly with one hand and just push it shut and it latches on it's own. And while the gate is shut, it's fully supported which will prevent sagging. What a wonderful invention.

The goats cannot figure it out so it must be 'great'Simple to install (make sure you've got a couple of lag bolts for screwing into the post) and comes with reducers for the smaller diameter gate.

This latch will fit with 1 5/8" and 2" tube gates and lockable with a padlock. Does not comes with necessary screws for the gate post mount attachment. But it does comes with the gate attachment screws. Seems to be heavy duty and easy to operate.

Great product! Bought one for each of my gates which makes my work in the barn much faster. Very secure and easy to use with one hand operation. You won't regret buying this piece of equipment.

The latch was easy to install and works quite well. However, the package doesn't include the 2 screws needed to attach the strike plate to whatever post your gate closes to, so you have to get those yourself.
