This is a handy gate latch that looks nice too. My only complaint is that mounting it to metal tube rail type fencing which is very popular in the southwest is a bit more diffcult. If you plan on mounting it to round tube, you can bend the mounting brackets failry easily with a hammer so they fit the contour of the pipe. The supplied mounting screws obviously won't work on pipe, but self tapping screws are easy enough to get at any hardware store. So far the horses haven't figured out how to open this one!
