These are perfect for outdoor pathway because they're all metal, and heavy duty. They may a nice effect next to bushes like no other lights.

Bought 2. One to replace, and a spare. These little mushroom lights have a warm glow, and line our front yard growing beds, year round in freezing snowy winter and 100+ summer days. One stopped working after 9 years service.

These are fabulous lights for the money. My daughter purchased some with a metal top and the gardener's weed whacker dented and removed all of her paint. These are heavy with a glass top and are impervious to the gardner's assaults.

This merchandise was chosen for its look and apparent quality. It is nice if its upward directed light is able to bounce of of hardscape or greenscape above it. I retrofitted to existing low voltage wire which has spent 12 years buried by layer after layer of mulch tucked in against a block wall so it was very difficult to attach. The attachment would be better served with an easier screw down or hinged connector. The interdigitating connector fingers are way too flimsy for a tight space.

The lights look beautiful how they light up our privacy fence. My only concern is the cost of replacing the light bulbs. I wish you would come out with the same light design, but using LED lights. I would like to replace all my lights with these, but would not be able to afford the replacement bulbs,

We used these along a large flowerbed on the other side of our pool. It adds just the right amount of light sitting on the patio. Pros - the body and stake are all metal, the lamp is heavy glass; Cons - some of the older boxes of this same product (you can see the difference in the boxes) were quite poorly made - the stakes were very brittle and crumbled easily, screw threads didn't line up; also these are all halogen bulbs. (After a couple of weeks we replaced them with LED bulbs from an online store - cheap and saves electricity and able to add more lamps along the wire [bonus].)
I would not place these along a frequently travelled path or walkway - they give off too much up-light and it's quite blinding to see where you are stepping (didn't improve with the LED bulbs either) We really like the sense of durability (dog won't decide to chew them up, most likely)
Finally, because the stakes aren't too long and the bollard light not too tall, when we tried to place them in one part of our flower bed with loose soil and lots of mulch, we had to get creative. We drove a 12" long piece of 3/4" pvc pipe into ground and then staked these lights into it. We had intended to go back and add a little caulk for stability, but haven't needed it yet.
I like these for the price and durability. I wish there was something creative I could come up with though (some little metal cupped disk) to redirect some of the light, so that I could put them along a sidewalk.
