boat planes out quicker and gained 2 or 3 mph. Easier on the back of the boat where motor is mounted. If you dont wanna drill through the cavatation plate than thes works good but you can still spend a little extra and get the sport clip.

It really does what it claims. I would recommend it to anyone. I was ready to trade in my 25hp 4 stroke Mercury, its heavy and slow. What a difference.Wish I would have done it sooner.

Have tried this on my 3.5M RIB with a 15HP 4-stroke.Pros:1. Almost instant planing with up-to three adults2. Super-easy installation3. No water flooding at the stern during rapid deceleration due to bow rise4. No detectable top-speed reduction with my set up5. The boat remains on plane at a lower speedCon:1. Tendency of weed catching - not an issue for me.Neutral:1. Could not check if it actually reduces fuel consumption

I installed a SE Sport 200 on my Mercury 2 stroke 9.9. My motor pushed my Zodiac Cadet 310 pretty well before the install, but I wanted to see if this foil would help with time to plane & bow rise. Install was very simple, I opted for the drill type install & it took me around 45 minutes. They give you a cardboard template to mark your location on your drive.Once installed, I noticed that the boat definitely got up on plane much quicker with little to no bow rise. It was also able to hold plane at a much lower speed & it did not cavitate at all. Tracking & steering also seem much improved. I did not notice any difference in top speed, but the boat seems to dance around less when wide open. Much easier to control at high speeds.All in all it was a very worth while investment. Even on my small inflatable boat, the difference was very noticeable.

Works just like it is supposed to, put it on the outboard and the boats bow dropped right down. Made it much safer and we could increase the speed of the boat. Easy to install. No problems.

The STINGRAY hydrofoil added 2-3 miles per hour top end, as well as decreased porpoising problems that I had. I also get on plane faster, and with less throttle. I'm not sure yet whether I'm getting better fuel economy, but I definitely like this foil!
