This cork block is great! I've used this brand at classes for several years and finally broke down and bought my own - I love it! If you're looking for lightweight, this is not the block for you, however.

The heft of this block is really nice. I don't think it is too heavy. It was very stable even when my hands were sweaty. It doesn't compress and gives good support.

This is a very sturdy block. It has a nice bit of weight to it, but not enough to be overwhelming or overly heavy. It doesn't have a lot of give (I'm about 115lbs), but it isn't so firm that it creates uncomfortable pressure points on my hands. When I received my block it did seem a bit musty, but that smell dissipated over a few days. I don't think this block could handle a whole lot of sweat, being made of a porous material. Overall I am very pleased with this block.

Excellent product. Really great for pilates too. Highly recommended product for any and all ages to improve posture and build core strength.

This block is great--much better than a foam block in my opinion because it feels denser and more stable. Unfortunately, my dog also liked them enough to eat one (he's a beagle and will eat anything) so I'd recommend keeping them stored safely.

My wife and I are doing P90X and we've found that some of the Yoga positions are much easier when using a Yoga block. This particular block is the best I've found in terms of quality. It's definitely heavier and stronger than the typical foam blocks. Because of this, I don't have any worries putting all my weight on the block when I need to.The only downside of this block would be if you needed to travel with it, as the extra weight could be an issue there.
