This horseshoe is sturdy and great for our school kids to play with. It is good quality and the stakes work well.

The Champion Sports Rubber Horseshoe Set was very good for the reasonable price. It had a very strong rubber odor at first which remained for quite awhile. The set is being used in an elderly facility and works well. For the price it works very well. The only problem is that the bottom plate which holds the peg vertically sometimes pops off when a ringer is made. We have considered making a wooden bottom for the peg holder, but then it would no longer fit into the box for storage. These are minor problems for something that comes out occasionally and is nice to have around for the limited physical ability of the users.

Great set- light weight and travels wells. It might not be a fixture in the back yard for years to come, but the kids love it and it's perfect for camping or evenings in the park.

We got a boccie ball court with concrete under the gravel so we could get a horseshoe set that has to be driven into the ground. The mat is sturdy enough to take a hit from the horseshoe. Glad we got it.

I should have listened to other negative reviews. When I received the package I knew right away this was a piece of junk. It came in a very small flimsy cardboard box that looked like something out of the Dollar Store. But, I wanted to give my first impression the benefit of the doubt. Well, unfortunately, I wasn't wrong. The flimsy bottom rubber piece you place the plastic pole into is too short to ring the horseshoes around and was bent from being inside the box and wouldn't lay flat. We tried to play anyway and found that every time you got the horseshoe near the pole, it would bounce off or just knock the pole over. This certainly was not worth the cost, even being under $20. Then, I was shocked to find out the packaging indicates "This product is made with chemicals known to cause cancer in the State of California!...What???!!! A children's toy that is dangerous to play with! The company should be ashamed! I would not recommend. Suppose I am going back to the original way horseshoes are supposed to be made...out of metal.

Purchased this item for Easter for the family. My 7 year old loves it!! My 2 year old and 5 year old are not very interested in the toy. I highly recommend it for school age children and up. My husband and I also enjoy playing it with the kids.
