great quality of item considering there's one of those clear, crack head lighters on the inside that's got a special refill nipple for the butane on it. only modification I had to do was melt the two little side corners off the trigger, otherwise known as the safety mechanism, that makes you have to use two hands. If not for that I'd give it five stars. I take mine on my person secured on every whitewater trip I go on, it makes starting an emergency fire a breeze. Press a button and voila.....you have fire.

It's safe! Latest design for this item requires one to be dexterous enough to slide your thumb along the top, down onto the actuator with enough force and quickly enough to depress the actuator before the safety device re-closes and without sending the unit across the room when it slips from your hand. People with weak or arthritic hands will probably have difficulty. Otherwise it is a great little torch. I'm sure our protectors in the government were again carefully watching over us on this design.

Great tool. Helped with replacing batteries and a pump in the bilge of my boat. Made the work go a lot quicker.
