After reading the bad reviews for this hutch (and every other wooden rabbit hutch on the market) I decided to go with this one since I thought it was the prettiest among all the very nice wooden hutches with bad reviews (I really wanted to give it a try). I did not find it to be as flimsy as most people described, but do agree that putting it together was not completely fool proof and was indeed a 2 person job. I have 2 lionhead bunnies that simply adore this home. I purchased a corrugated cardboard ramp in the Cat section of the pet store and taped it just below the wooden door so my bunnies can run in and out of their hutch as they please. The hutch is not big enough for the bunnies to run around in but the bunny run I created under the hutch takes care of that. I also taped absorbent liners to the corners of the hutch because I knew that bunnies like to pee in corners and I did not want them ruining their beautiful hutch! At first I taped liners around the entire cage, but now that they have chosen their spots, I only cover those spots and change them daily. The pull out tray is an awesome feature, I have it lined with a plastic liner that I cut to fit the tray perfectly and used a little tape to secure its position. I fill the tray with lavender bedding so the hutch and the bunnies always smell clean and beautiful. Emptying the tray and wiping it down is a breeze thanks to this perfect design. I am so incredibly happy with my purchase and the with the fact that my bunnies couldn't be happier! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that wouldn't mind putting in a little extra time a creativity into maintaing the beauty of it. On the other hand, if you are looking for a low maintenance home that you can neglect caring for/ cleaning for longer stretches of time, than maybe a wire cage is a better option for you.
