He plays in and on it. He likes to pop off the roof but it doesn't do any damage the box.

My chinchilla took to this hideout immediately. Was big enough for him to crawl inside and makes for a dark space for him to hide in during the day as well. Only downside is he has chewed it up quite a bit... but he's a chinchilla...that's what he's suppose to do! Will be buying more!

These are my chinchillas favorite hiding places! She only has three legs so trying to find fun things with flat tops are hard. This hut is perfect and great for chewing on!

Perfect size for my chinchilla as she is a smaller-than-normal chin. My nitpicky furball loves it and spends almost all her time in it. :)I can see how some chins might have trouble fitting though. It might be best suited for small guinea pigs or rats since size is an uncertain factor. Might be more suitable for younger chins, too.

Bought 2 for my chinchillas and 2 of my chins love it as a little home. My other 2 chins love it just for something else to chew on. Everything slides together easily but would be worth a few extra minutes to nail it together.

My roommate and I bought this for our hedgehog because it seemed nicer than a plastic igloo. I love that the top comes off so it's easy to scoop out our hedgehog when he's hiding away, and it's a great size. The top warped a little bit under the heat of the heatlamp, and so now it's kind of curled up on the sides, but it doesn't really make a difference--it still looks find and fits on top of the house very well.
