Love our new squirrel proof feeder. The skinny pole that is included does the trick. The squirrels gave up. Now I can fill it up and the seeds last a week so now the cardinals, finches, titmice, etc. have seeds all the time.

This is a great feeder that absolutely keeps the Grackels and Starlings off....my main reason for the purchase. It has a large seed bin, and an adjustable feeder platform that can be readjusted after the bad birds leave. Great product. I use mine in conjunction with a squirrel baffle and have it on a pole, no squirrels and no grackels, can bird feeding get any better?

Excellent product, and the squirrels can't get to the seed as advertised. I would recommend this feeder to anyone who has squirrel problems.

This has been my best 'Squirrel Proof' Feeder to date and I now have six various kinds of feeders meant to keep out the 'grey hoards'. When filled with mixed seed it also attracts the greatest variety of birds of any feeder I own, particularly Eastern Cardinals. Is VERY heavy when fully loaded and I found that hanging it is more secure than using the included pole. You MUST use a long and sturdy hanger to keep squirrels from hanging onto a branch or tree trunk and bypassing the weight triggered closing mechanism. Will keep out at least 90% of your Squirrels which usually content themselves to forage on seeds dropping to the ground below the feeder.

These feeders are great!! I bought two of them and for the most part they keep the squirrels and the "stupid" birds out. I seem to be going through a lot less bird seed now. If they are going to be hung, they need a very sturdy pole as they are very heavy when full.

I received this feeder as a gift 15 years ago. The construction is top notch and it is 95% squirrel proof. Through the life of this feeder there have been an industrious squirrel or two, but for the most part the item does the job. I have it mounted on a pole in the middle of the yard and it is set to the lightest setting. Using this setting even keeps the Blue Jays away from this feeder. I have recently added a second one in a another area of the my yard as well. I would recommend this feeder.
