Like many of the reviews about this power strip, it could be better built, but it serves the purpose. Two timers in one strip is pretty cool and leaves you with one central command area, HOWEVER, I spent some thinking time and realized you can save money by purchasing a few trusted Intermatic timers and a couple power strips and get more control of your system. 37.99 versus 10 bucks for let's say 3 timers on a power strip...yada, yada, get the idea. This one came in with one timer DOA.Unfortunately, I puchased mine from who hides behind the manufacturer to do their dirty work. I was appalled when pointed the finger to Coralife (power strip), and said the Coralife company would handle it (return or exchange my purchase). I purchased from, I'd expect them to have pinnacle customer service...SHAME, SHAME, SHAME. I will NEVER buy from again.

I bought one of these 1691 dual timer powerstrips from my local aquarium supply. I wanted the dual timer ability to control 10k white lights, blue actinic, and moon led's. Worked well enough initially, but eventually one of the timers failed after a couple years. Since these are primarily marketed for salt or reef systems, it should have been a more durable. Also, having 3 outlets dedicated to day lighting (the yellow outlets) was excessive; having more dedicated "always on" power would have been more useful in my opinion.I recently replaced with the Coralife 5150. Hopefully it will perform better than the 1691. The 5150 has 4 dedicated outlets for constant power, which will run my heater, sump pump, and protein skimmer. The single timer will work well for the blue actinic/moonlight switchover. I will supplement with an additional Tork timer to control the day lighting.

We just started using this timer. It is working...however, the one timer keeps getting stuck. So the light is delayed an hour or so coming on...sometimes it gets stuck and doesn't move for a few hours.I'm hoping that it will loosen over time, and will be 100% functional soon. We'll see...I would recommend this product, only because I don't think that this will get stuck on all units...I think I just have an isolated 'defective' one.

I purchased this needing a good dual day/night timer. It turned out to be a great purchase. Keeps great time, does what it's supposed to do. Now there's no worry about my corals not getting consistent light if I'm out or gone.
