I really like that a Sharpie can be used with this compass. I gave this compass a 3 because there's an issue with the adapter and adapter screw. The adapter and screw are made of plastic which is what caused the issue. The screw would not tighten against the pen. It was discovered that there was too much play in the piece where the adapter screw goes (which consists of 2 parts). In order to fix the problem, we had to put some superglue on the piece holding the screw in place to prevent that piece from sliding back up thereby enlarging the hole where the screw goes. Once the two pieces are tight together, the screw goes in like it should and holds the pen in place without it wobbling. This is not an overly cheap compass ($24.95 not including shipping). I shouldn't have to fix the company's design flaws.

Got my compass on time and I really like it. I'm using it to draw circles for my custom color pencil design. It goes small to big enough. So it's perfect for my use!!!
