great for my kids to play. They can carry it to lessons yet it still offers all they need to learn

This little guitar is a good step for your child into the world of guitar playing. And by playing I don't mean music playing necessarily. My 4-year-old loves it. She carries it around, taps on it, pretend she's a rock star (no banging in on the floor allowed) and occasionally sits and tries to play a few chords. The tuners are fine, contrary to some (non-guitar players or not used to nylon strings) reviewers. The strings holds the tune just fine after it stretches (keep tuning it for a couple of days). The guitar is pretty sturdy and sounds ok for a kid to play with. However, as expected, it is not built with the finest of materials, including the strings, and because of that it will take a longer time time to stop stretching. Also it is bubble gum pink "with sparkly things" (my daughter's words). One tip to make the strings normalize faster - before putting it away tune it a couple of keys higher.

Santa Claus brought the red guitar for my 4 year old. I don't know anyting about guitars other than I love music played in them, therefore, I cannot write a technical review but I can say that my 4 year old also loves this guitar, her eyes lit up when she saw it and she strikes the cords non-stop. She will start guitar class soon and I think this will make it a wonderful experience. Additionally, the guitar arrived in perfect condition and faster than expected.

Overall, this is a perfect gift for my 3-year old daughter. It's true that it doesn't stay in tune very well, but tuning it up only takes a couple of minutes and my daughter loves to sit next to me and strum it while I play my guitar. As far as quality goes, of course it's not very good. I expected to get what I paid for, and I did. For example, the distance between the strings are not set even due to uneven spacing on the bridge and possible the nut. The sound is not very good because the wood is cheap. The frets are cheap. The intonation is not perfectly set.If you're looking for a quality guitar for your budding musician, look elsewhere. If you're looking for more of a small toy guitar that actually does play and fits a toddler perfectly, this is it.

I got this guitar for my 5 year old, she loved it, and proceeded immediately to decorate it with Hello Kitty stickers. The guitar looks reasonably well made (for the price) and arrived without major finish flaws; however the tuners can't seem to hold the guitar in tune for more than a few minutes. This makes the guitar less than useful.
