We already have some taller Mission-style shelves and these matched them very well.They came well packed with good padding (though if the Styrofoam pieces had been cardboard like much of the rest, all the packing would have been recyclable).We bought two and had problems putting the first one together because the screw holes seemed too small. The hex wrench provided kept slipping in the screw heads when enough pressure was applied to turn the screws. It turns out it was the hex wrench wearing out very quickly that was the problem. Using the wrench from the second set, we were able to complete both sets with no problem. Well, the screw holes are small enough it took some effort to turn the screws, but that might make for longer durability of the shelves.The folding capability wasn't really part of the reason we bought these, but it does work, simply and easily.I'd also like to give a shout-out to PlumStruck that we bought these from. Their shipping cost was very low yet the shelves arrived almost a week before we expected.Now if we can only find something like these that is about 4 inches shorter to fit the space under a breakfast nook counter.

the screws to attach the top wer difficult to screw in...back support bar was to high for some smaller books that could fall back

This was the perfect size for my bedroom and went with the beachy feel. You need to be a bit coordinated to put it together, but it is not hard. Sturdier than I expected. Great price.

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised after receiving it. Nice solid wood, quality hardware and despite a few of the reviews I thought the it was very easy to assemble by myself.

Shelves are great. It looks great and is very functional. Easy to assemble, spacious, sturdy and is true to size.

I like the design of this shelf set. I like how it all folds up neatly for moving. Also it is reasonably well made. Sturdy but not terribly heavy. Some assembly required but it is all pretty easy assembly. Anyone can do it with just a screwdriver and Allen key.
