Iron is a real dream to use. Easy on the hands, steams well & makes the job of ironing almost fun. (Almost!)

This is what I needed. The base of my very expensive iron broke when it fell off the board. So I use this since I can't set it down up right any longer. Doesn't smell weird and stays put.

the rest works great with my iron. the only trouble is if I use water in my iron I cannot set it down flat or water will run out of the holes but that is a bad iron.

Silicone: brought to us by the U.S.A. Space Program! I do my ironing on the dining room table using an ironing blanket. The table is much safer from my clumsiness with this iron rest protecting it. This inanimate object gets five stars from me as a salute to NASA and the scientific advances brought to us via the space program. (Think Tang, Velcro, Silicone baking mats, cordless tools and ear thermometers, to name a scant few.)

This is one of those very simple, but very basic products that makes a huge improvement in your life. I've dropped my iron while I adjusting a shirt or a pair of pants on the ironing board. One time, it fell on the carpet and left a big iron shaped burn mark that is still visible. I also have a two year old that runs around while I iron his clothes. This product puts my mind at ease. I can place the iron on the pad and shake the board while I adjust my clothes....and yet the iron doesnt move. You can't go wrong with this iron rest.

It does what it is supposed to do so I rated it at 5 stars. Plain and simple - it works!
