Product Description

Manufacturer Part Number: 1107770

CorningWare Stovetop Yesterday and Today... Original CorningWare Pyroceram material, a glass-ceramic heated material that was originally developed by Corning Inc. in the 1950's to be used in rocket nose cones. Further development to kitchen products resulted in CorningWare cookware, which made its debut in 1958. It was hailed as a new space-age cookware material virtually impervious to temperature extremes. Originally targeted toward working women who wanted to cook, set an attractive table, and get out of the kitchen fast - with as little clean up as possible, this durable break and chip resistant glass cookware/bakeware is as relevant today as it was 50 years ago. Is this your grandmother's casserole? Yes, and we're proud of it! Enjoy this versatile, classic CorningWare product for many uses in your kitchen and for many generations to come!

GLASS COVERS
See warnings for glass covers stated above.

DO NOT place PYREX® glass cover on or under a flame or other direct heat source, including a stovetop, under a broiler, on a grill or in a toaster oven.

USES: PYREX glass covers can be used for cooking, baking, warming, and reheating food in microwave ovens and in preheated conventional or convection ovens.

CARE: Allow cover to cool before placing in sink or water. Dishwasher safe. When using dishwasher, load dishes to avoid bumping against other items during the dishwashing cycle. Use non-abrasive cleaners. If scouring is necessary, use only plastic or nylon cleaning pads, again with nonabrasive cleaners.

PLASTIC COVERS
See warnings stated above.
  • DO NOT use in conventional or convection ovens.

Remove cover with care. Condensation may develop on underside of cover. For plastic covers with vent tabs, install cover with vent open. To minimize leaking and dripping, and ensure proper sealing of cover to dish, exert downward pressure when applying cover. Once cover is in position close vent. Open vent when removing cover and prior to microwave use. Make sure vent tab is closed during transportation and storage.

CARE: Wash by hand or in automatic dishwasher, top rack only.

I love these little pans and especially that they have handles. I wish I could get plastic and glass lids for them. I have not been able to get them either online or in outlet stores.
