We had white Corelle dishes over 20 years and love them. In that time, 2 plates chipped and 4 bowls broke. In the first week with these, we noticed a knife scratched the design when cutting food. I am concerned how they will look in a few years. Based on this, I wish I had selected a design on the plate rim only, not located where food is cut.<br />I searched all kinds of dishes. I need light weight, because of hand pain. I wanted color. Earthenware is too heavy for me and my first set was chipped and ugly in a year or two. Fine China is gorgeous, but heavier than Corelle. I don't know how it would hold up to every day use.
