The finest Japanese grown and processed wakame. From fresh to packaged it goes through 25 different processes and 17 of them are to remove foreign material. It is skillfully grown, harvested, and handled in a sophisticated system established over centuries. Eden Wakame grows in the strong, cool Arctic current along Japan's northeast coast between 40 and 38 degrees latitude. Hand harvested from February through April, washed, simmerd, trimmed and dried. Easy to use and perfect for miso soup, that is never complete without the happy green and mild flavor of wakame. No need for washing, long soaking or cutting, simply place in the soup or quickly soak for salad. The longer you soak the softer it gets, so you have options. Tradition has it that beautiful skin and hair is made by wakame. Research has found that wakame helps reduce blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and improves metabolism of fatty acids.
